How can my face have changed so much in just one year? This is sort of crazy. I just don't look like that anymore. Have I really aged that much in a year? I mean, I'm chubbier now, but still.Things I have googled today:
composting toilets
FantaSuites Minnesota
Alfredo Jaar
apple dumpling recipe
Elton John Goodbye Yellow Brick Road lyrics
Maine animals
pine martin
mink
cemetery Philadelphia
fun cemetery Philadelphia
pretty cemetery Philadelphia
Hall and Oats
And here is a series of dorky photos taken on my computer camera as I was trying to get a good shot of the skirt I'm wearing today. I finally got a good, albeit fuzzy photo of the skirt after a few tries.
The skirt was made by my awesome intern, Sarah, a student at Maryland Institute College of Art. Her last week with me just ended, and she's headed back to school. I'm sad. She was a huge help making samples, doing some web recon, working on the mailing list.
This skirt was made with the #005 Sharp Skirt pattern, which is a nice, classic pencil skirt shape. It can be made into a more dramatic pencil skirt if you desire, by simply bringing the side seams in a little closer to the knees. She put some cute little birds at the bottom and also did some yellow stitching along the bottom hem. I love it!

wow! That's one sharp skirt allright. That looks amazing!
Supercute. I love it.
I just made your SS pattern myself. I jacked up the darts because I'm new at this. I had to go down a couple of sizes b/c when I went by my hip measurement (40.5) and did size F, the skirt was way too big. I did D but I think next time I'll go down to C. Go figure. Anywho, I wore it yesterday with a tunic to cover the darts and I have to say it's very sassy and comfortable.
Oh, that's what I want to know, where is the skirt supposed to sit? Just below natural waist? I think mine rides a bit low, like nearly at my hip bones.
I'll send you a couple of pics when I finish the next one. Fabulously written pattern, by the way.
That was long. I'm bored at work.
