bittersweet

With a mix of emotions that I'm not even going to try to fully analyze, I've decided to suspend production on Betsy Ross patterns. I've been going full-steam-ahead since 2004, and I guess I feel I need to challenge myself in other ways. Sometimes you just need to direct your attention to other areas of your life, and I'm finding that's what's happening. Rather than fight that, I'm going to see where some other paths take me.

This doesn't mean that I won't consider making new patterns or even continue production on the old ones, but for now I need to focus elsewhere.

If they are sold out, I have very limited copies of 003, 004, 006, 007, 008, 009, 011, 012 and 013 that I will be selling on a first-come, first-serve basis at reduced price of $10 each. Thanks to all of my customers for your creative spirit, helpful feedback, photos, and advice over the years! From the first drafts of the patterns made over many late nights back in Chicago, to all of the hot summer craft fairs, to teaching classes here in Philadelphia, I have truly enjoyed myself. I have learned so much from this, and am so thankful to have had such a great run!
